A farm boy from Iowa, with a family of 10 siblings, with big dreams, Wally Kenney has gone back to his roots, selling Antique Tractor Souvenir items.
While raising his family in Colorado, Wally had a very successful family owned and operated Sports Souvenir business called Mr. K’s, known worldwide.
He started in 1978 by dreaming up the idea of selling orange cowboy hats to avid Denver Bronco Football Fans at the Mile High Stadium. As the popularity grew he added more items and opened their first store in 1980, in downtown Brighton Colorado.
In, 1986, they opened a Super Store across the street from the Bronco training facility in Denver. Mr.K’s, with four stores, once known as “Bronco Heaven”, added other team sports, like the Champion Colorado Avalanche Hockey, to their product line and became Denver’s Most Complete Sports Souvenir Shop.
Mr. K’s expanded into Custom Apparel where embroidery and custom sewing of team logos was done, and were chosen by the Avalanche Retail Division to do custom lettering on their jerseys, and then added the Denver Broncos, lettering their jerseys.
Mr.K’s has been on Good Morning America and the front page of the USA Today and many other newspapers as well as all of the local Denver TV channels. They have generously given donations to many worthy organizations, the Elway Foundation, Colorado Sports for the Physically Challenged and the United Way, to name a few.
Now, after 28 years in the fast pace business world, he and his daughter, Tina, who helps him with the bookkeeping and processing and shipping of phone orders, continue in the Souvenir business, but in their new adventure, one that has always pulled on his heart strings, Antique Tractors.
With much experience on an Oliver tractor, from his farm days in Iowa, he now sells baseball caps and other souvenir items with many different Antique Tractor Emblems.
With his first tractor show in 2004 at the Oliver Summer Show in Madison, South Dakota the new journey began with a 10x10 canopy and a 6 foot table, to his current customized trailer. After trial and error with different style hats, trying to recreate the old time look, he is now selling items of quality and durability with the best and largest selection of Antique Tractor souvenir items. With an appreciation of your business, he stands behind his product. He attends 20 – 30 shows a year, so watch for him at your favorite Antique Tractor show.
